December 19, 2013

Oh Hi. It's Thursday night, I'm drinking orange juice, going to make some burritos. Mmmm, burritos. I am obsessed with those. And Zombies on COD Black Ops. Like ridiculous that I'm hurrying to type this as I really wanna go play with Nathen.
Anyways, Nathen and I are super Christmas Procrastinators. Like we haven't even gotten anything. All I've got is the few supplies to help me make the DIY gifts I'm making for everyone, but I haven't even been able to start as I haven't gotten the wood. Oops, we'll get it this weekend. I'm really excited to make them though and take pictures throughout so I can post them here.

Whelp, I really just wanted to share a few photos. These first ones are of the McLeod family, the girls are precious and I love them all already. They are awesome people.

Love <3

Aren't they the cutest?
Okay, well I'm off to eat my bean and cheese burritos and go play zombies! If you're on Playstation Network and play, let me know (:

Thanksgiving 2013

Hey there. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving this year. I sure did. We had dinner with my parents early due to my brother working on Thanksgiving and had dinner with Nates family on Thursday out at one of their ranches. I sure do love it at all of the ranches!

I'm including a few photos we took there.
This year I'm thankful for all of the wonderful people I have in my life, especially Nathen :]. I'm thankful for having cuddly animals and warm blankets to snuggle in. A roof over my head, an awesome job, vacstion time, and good friends. I'm especially thankful for all the opportunities we are given such as buying a house within the next year, and everything I have been through whether good or bad, because it all has taught me things. I hope everyone had a good day and got to spend it with family!

The first photo is one that I took, and a friend/coworker across the states edited, Wess Martin. He has some awesome editing techniques and love this photo so much more!

The others are Nate and I and then his sister and I and a pretty horse :)

Also, here is a photo I took on Thanksgiving this photo is of Nates Aunt & Uncle and their litttle boy Dakota. He is the cutest little boy ever.

I love this.

Oh hello,
So I live in this "wonderful" state Nevada right? And I must admit it is beautiful, at times, but I totally miss my Washington trees and ocean. But, I love how you can see for miles living out here and when it snows, it gets even more beautiful! A few weeks ago it snowed like an inch, and then melted right away. This morning we actually had a few inches but again it melted throughout the day :(. We are suppose to be getting more though this weekend and I'm really hoping it sticks around, and if it doesn't at least stay this time I really hope it snows soon because I really want to take some wonderful fall pictures! Anyways, it's Friday and I couldn't be more happy about that. I think I'll
be posting some recent photos I've taken of my friend Hanna, my friend Mariah, and my brother and to be sister in law.
Oh, here's a photo of Lamoille Canyon, it's so beautiful and I love enjoying it.

PINTERESTING...

Is anyone obsessed with the show Sons Of Anarchy like Nathen and I are? Last night was so intense, and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for next week. Well anyways...

I came into work early today since the boss is on a trip. Well I'm all done with my work already so what do you suspect I did/am doing? P I N T E R E S T!!

I love this site so much it's crazy, I seriously have almost 9000 pins! I'm hoping when we get our house that I will organize a bit better and can print a lot of the recipes and what not to slim it down a bit.

As I'm searching today I find a pin for "75+ Gift Ideas under $5". GASP. This is right up my ally. So I check it out and behold a gift idea I'd like to do for family this year. And it's cheap. And it's cute. What's better?

It actually directed me to this awesome blog that I'm so loving now, it's:
Shanty2Chic
And here's the idea that I'm thinking I want to try,
iPad Display-DIY
I think I'll take it an extra step further and add a clip to the top for those recipes from Grandma that are written down! I'm so loving it and think I'll make one for myself plus one as my Bunco gift exchange gift for our meeting for December.
What do ya'll think of it? Are you loving it as much as I am?
Of course if I do I'll snap some photos and post about it. Hope all those links up there work for ya, let me know if they don't!
I'm back to Pinteresting, have a great day!

It's Been Forever...

Well, it's been a while since I've posted because I've gotten out of it. But I'd really like to post some more about things going on and I'd like to jump on the blog train and hopefully have a few followers. I think I am going to do a whole new look and completely start over. So keep your eyes out.

Organizing..

Good morning! Wow, it's only Tuesday and has already been a long week. I'm dealing with my kittens getting neutered, and making a folder for bills, lists, and whatever else. Kind of a home/bill/my life management binder :) I'm super excited about it and can't wait to share it with you guys! Some of the things in it are free printable a from different blogs I've found from Pinterest, and some I made myself in my Microsoft Word.

I even showed it to Nathen and he wants me to help him make one for his bills, but of course more manlier :)

Can't wait to share with you guys when it's put together! Have an awesome week!

Squats, Squats, and more squats.

I have been doing this month long squat challenge that I wanted to introduce you guys to! It is really not that bad. The beginning was really easy even though I never did squats before. The more you do in one day then it gets a little harder but you just CAN'T give up!! And here's my tip: do not, I repeat do not skip a day because then to make it right you have to make that up which means double the next day and that kills lol. So anyway, I'm on day 14 I believe and I have honestly seen changes. Of course I have a butt, but I'm getting an ass now! *please excuse the language* And not to gross anybody out but the little cellulite I had on my legs has disappeared! I really suggest you try this one out. Of course I'm also riding my bike on the side, usually just around the yard but yesterday I rode my bike to work which was about 10 miles! Woo! Hope you all have a blessed day!

In Loving Memory-SMASH book

Good morning! Glad to see I got over the hump day. I am ready for the weekend and don't want to go to work today :( my throat is killing me, my nose is running, I just feel horrible. Would anyone like to go to work for me?? You can Pinterest and Facebook all day long! Lol.

Well last night I got off early and came home. I decided as I waited for Nate to get home I would see about doing a quick page in my book. I wanted to work on my page "In Loving Memory" for my Grandfather. Well I already had some letters from my cricut cut out but then I remembered I had some scrabble letters! And he was never a big scrabble player I think but he was a big game person especially cards! I remember we were always playing some sort of card game! So with the help of my mom we decided the scrabble letters looked better! So below is my 2 page spread. There's numbers in the top corners of the photos and I used the big card to journal a little about each photo. The smaller card has his dates. It's a very simple page I know, but that's ok! I think it turned out very nice. I also had the pages covered up. I didn't like the original pages so picked some of the paper I had and just simply covered them.

Please let me know how you think it turned out and of you have any feedback or suggestions for me at all please let me know! Thanks and have a wonderful day, it's almost Friday!

100 Things I love!-SmashBook

Hello! How is everybody today? It is Thursday, and I am so ready for Saturday.
I can't wait to sleep in and I think I will be going to a scrapbook get together so I'm excited to get to work in my SMASH* books some more.

I know I've posted some on a few of my smash pages but I guess I've never really talked about them and why I love them!
Well first of all if you have no idea what I'm talking about check out this video by the K&Company here. I have never been a big scrapbooking or stamping gal. My mom has always ALWAYS been (she's been a Stampin' Up Demonstrator for so many years now). And I tried so many times to get into it with her, making cards and scrapbook pages, but I just felt like they HAD to be perfect and they weren't so I would get angry and give up...(I know, poor attitude right?).
Well anyways, I believe I first saw this video on Pinterest one night and I was like..."OH! I HAVE to have one of those!" Right? Isn't that what everybody is thinking after watching that video?! Well I was looking online, and I went to our Wal*Mart, and I went to our Joann's and nothing...nothing at all. I was bummed because I would have to order online and pay for shipping and blah blah blah. Then my mom's friend came to the rescue! This little shop in town sells them along with a bunch of random things! So I went and got the Red Doodle Style and started in.
I now have the Red Doodle, The Simple Orange, The Eco Green, The Pretty Pink, and The Wedding White. I think that's it. The Red is all filled, random stuff. The Orange I am using as kind of a whatever I want, about me sorta thing, The Green was for summer 2012, The Pink one I am using for documenting our Washington Trip, and The White, well what else do you think it's for? LOL, all of my wedding ideas and shtuff!!

So in this blog post, I am featuring a 2 page spread out of my Orange book. It's called 100 Things I Adore AKA 100 Things I Love. I totally fell in love with this idea after seeing a gal name Crystal, her blog here, post this page on our SMASH*aholics Facebook Page! I was like oooh, I gotta do that. And I finally did. It took a very long time to come up with my list, or at least it was until I followed Crystal's tutorial and little list she made for all of us on her blog post about this. I altered my list a little bit here and there. Well, here's my pages. ENJOY!

SMASH*ing

My sister in law to be and I had a little smash get together on Saturday! She was just using a regular journal but she finally went a bought one of the actual SMASH books, I'm excited! We had my mother in laws dining room and table covered, the words out of her mouth were, "do you think you have enough stuff?!" OF COURSE NOT! :)

Here's the page I did, the left hand side is my to be sis in law Shelby and myself and the right is of my momma. I'm fairly happy with the way they turned out!

Printing 3x4 Photos.

Hey there! I wanted to do a little tutorial on printing smaller photos to use for scrapbooking! I like using this small size in my SMASH* books since the pages are a little small for 4x6, but I'm sure a lot of people use this size for Project Life!

1st Step: I have the app PicStitch on my iPhone, so I use that! But I'm sure any of the photo collage apps would work.

2nd: Once I have that open, I choose the template for two photos, lately I've been doing the horizontal but you could do vertical too!

3rd: Make sure the aspect is on 4x6 when you open that template, that way it's the right size and you shouldn't have to do any cropping at printing time!

4th: Add your photos, (when you first download the app it should give you a run down on how to do it, but you double click to add your photo). It will give the option to add effects or write or edit the photos, totally up to you!

5th: Click the export button and click save to album!

I have always printed using Walmart's instant print machines because I love that they come out fairly quickly and that I can preview the photos completely to make sure they're just how I like them! And they're decent quality! Hope this helps someone!

Brutice!

Meet Brutice! Nate found him on the side of the road during work and said he was in really rough shaped and wanted to bring him home! He's a mixed breed but know he definitely has pit bull in him and we're thinking heeler?. He is the sweetest dog ever though! He was pretty wore out the first day we brought him home but we made him a pen to stay in while we're at work and built him a dog house until we can get him a better one! After a day of love, attention, real dog food, and some good sleep in a warm place, he was very excited and lively! We most definitely think he's a keeper! He likes to play with the cat and seems to be good with kids so were super excited! We've been taking him on walks every morning and night and he loves it!

I have always been one to believe that pit bulls are only mean if they're trainer makes them mean but have never had proof and now I do! We didn't even make him a nice dog, he came to us happy and sweet! Whether we have him for a long time or not I will always be a proud supporter of pit bulls!

Bad News.

We have received some bad news this week. My grandfather has passed on. He was everybody's hero and everyone's smile. We will be celebrating his life and remembering the good memories we have shared with him. So I wanted to share a SMASH* page I did of my grandparents. The photos were taken when we went to Washington last September. It's nothing fancy but it's beautiful to me.

My Second Post :D

Hello again! Today I have created my first blog (I'm still working on the appearance, so please stand by), created my first post and now posting my second! I'm actually really excited about this. I updated my BIO page with a little about me, my life and things I like if you'd like to read that.

My blog is going to be about everything! I do photography, so it'll be about that. My SMASH* book pages, my wedding plans, our house/rental plans, any DIY projects I decide to try, recipes I try, books I read. Literally everything.

Here is Nathen. He is my rock, my heart and my soul.

Can you tell we love each other? Because I can :]
We met in high school, he was actually dating one of my best friends, and we absolutely HATED each other! But then after a few months, and when we both were finally single, our best friends started dating which made us hang out. And I decided that he wasn't as much of an a**hole as I thought, and I completely fell in love with him so quick. We went to one of our high school dances together (his first dance), and then we went to prom together our senior year and walked with each other at graduation. Not long after graduation I moved in with him at his moms house. It was hard some days being crammed in a small room, and it may have been a quick move but I wouldn't change a thing we've done. We have been through so much in the last 2 years we've been together, but I really can't wait for many more to come.

These are our kittens. We got them in September, so they are about...7 months old. The calico is Sadie, and she is definitely daddy's girl. The grey one is Izzy, and she is definitely a momma's girl! What's cute about Izzy is that she is a grey cat but she has skin colored spots all over her, and on her tail she has caramel colored stripes. CUTE. We hate them some days because they are being annoying or getting on the counter, but in the end it always makes us love them more!

Well, that told you a little more about me, and gave you some imaging on what my life looks like. I will be posting more don't you worry! It's time for me to go to bed though, so have a great night! :]

Hello!
