Questions Of Why//

I was going to start a new blog but then it logged me into my old one. Wow, what some crazy posts.
I was thinking at work tonight, like I always do. I'm doing stuff at work but it's usually something where my mind ends up wondering.
Tonight's feature is the question why.
And why are people such jerks.

So I was thinking about the way people act and how they think everyone needs to act the same way they do. Each person is there own person. The choices you make for your life are what make you who you are.
Nobody can change that and nobody should ever try to be the same as someone else. We are all so unique to ourselves that that's what makes people fall in love with you.

Incase we all forgot, God loves us no matter what and he wants us to all love each other, no matter what.

This rage on gay pride gets people going. I am into Shawn, whose a man incase anyone didn't know. But that doesn't mean I am going to hate on anyone who loves the same sex as they are. Love is love. And it literally has nothing to do with you unless it is you.
You were allowed to love and marry who you wanted to, why can't they?
It may say in the bible that it's not okay, but guess what? God still loves them. And some the most religious people love someone of the same sex more than anything.
The only people going to hell are the haters, the ones who think everyone needs to be like them.

I am in no way hating on the LDS religion. They are great people, but the things they are not allowed to do and truly believe they shouldn't, really gets to them. I was told that I was bad because I drink coffee, since they're not allowed to. In my opinion, that's pretty sad that coffee is so bad for you yet they allow soda but that's a different topic. They are raised to know that what they're book/bible says is right and anyone against it is not okay. Why? God loves us all no matter what so why are there so many different religions that say this and that are not okay and if you do them you are hated against.

I got told down on for saying the phrase "oh my god". Let me clarify this is a habit. My mom yells at me any time I say it and I do my best but it is a habit. To me it is just a phrase, simply that. I am not meaning it badly and I am certainly not taking the Lord's name in vain on purpose. I said it to someone who didn't like it, and because I respect this person, I apologized. I later got talked down on and was made to seem so much worse by a person related because they had heard, to them, that I took the Lord's name in vain.
To me, I feel I did the right thing. I apologized because I wanted to, not because I was told to. And I changed my wording. And I work on it all the time to say "gosh" but sometimes you slip up.
And no matter how big or small the slip up, people use it against you.

Pizza. It's literally like saying that because you are a super healthy person and haven't had a piece of pizza in 6 years, that I can't eat my 5 pieces for dinner. Plus my crazy bread [which is delicious]. You can give me advice all you want and state your opinion on why this delicious cheese and pineapple covered crust is so horrible and will go straight to my [butt] but since when does that mean I have to listen?
I will eat that pizza and be happy. Then go work it off at the gym.

The things you like, whether it be loving someone that's that same gender as you, or going to the gym all day every day, or eating the whole pizza by yourself while binge watching netflix [Orange is the New Black in particular], or your job or your hobbies or your attitude.....it is YOU. And no one, absolutely no one, should be able to tell you what you can and can't do [unless it's the law, you should follow that], and what you can and can't like.

BE YOURSELF AND LOVE YOURSELF.

Christmas DIY

I'm finally getting around to posting the photos of the DIY projects I made for Christmas. SLACKER.
I made DIY iPad/tablet displays for the kitchen. I made 5 in all, including one for myself. The wood that we bought was 8 ft. in length so we could have made more but the wood started to split towards the end. The dimensions of these are 12" tall by 10" wide. Perfect size for iPads and smaller tablets. I also taped the ends of it off and painted chalkboard paint in the middle for memos. And also included a nail and clip at the top to hold recipes if you have them on paper.
I used scrabble tile holders to place the tablet on, and Nathen cut up some wood for the back part for the actual stand to lean against.
I used two different tutorials to help me because I loved both so much and like certain things about each one.  There's this one and this one.
the first one I attempted I was making for myself and Nathen incase I royally screwd up. my original plan was to stain them after assembling but I didn't think about the fact that my wood and my scrabble tiles were different colors originally so when I first stained it before it even dried I hated it and was so mad at myself because the colors didn't match up and to me it looked funny. I actually love it now though once it dried, it matches pretty well now and wish I would have just waited and did them all this way. but since I was so upset I rushed back to take the stain back and got paint instead. I decided to paint 2 of them a creamy white and the other 2 a light brown. Then added the chalkboard paint, and the clip. I attached the scrabble tile holders first with wood glue, then used smaller nails to finish that off. Also on the stand, we used wood glue first and to make sure it was staying on, screwed them on. It was a lot of work, and I had to sand A LOT of the wood, over and over again. Everyone loved them..my mom, my mother in law, my sister in law and Nathens aunt. Now time to share some photos of them. Hope you love them too!

My supplies: Ryobi Sander, Chalkboard Spray Paint, Gorilla Wood Glue, Paint Brushes, Wood Stain, Wood Putty, Scrabble Tile Holders, Painting Tape, Nails, Hammer, Tool Bag, and a Sobe. (:
After my first few steps: Sanded down, and attached the tile holder.

 Painted

 Chalkboard paint painted.

 Nail and clip attached

In working order with an iPad.

This one is mine and Nathens. Ok, so the stains are still mismatched...but I kinda like it. Still have to put the chalkboard paint and the clip on ours. Loving it though.

December 19, 2013

Oh Hi. It's Thursday night, I'm drinking orange juice, going to make some burritos. Mmmm, burritos. I am obsessed with those. And Zombies on COD Black Ops. Like ridiculous that I'm hurrying to type this as I really wanna go play with Nathen.
Anyways, Nathen and I are super Christmas Procrastinators. Like we haven't even gotten anything. All I've got is the few supplies to help me make the DIY gifts I'm making for everyone, but I haven't even been able to start as I haven't gotten the wood. Oops, we'll get it this weekend. I'm really excited to make them though and take pictures throughout so I can post them here.

Whelp, I really just wanted to share a few photos. These first ones are of the McLeod family, the girls are precious and I love them all already. They are awesome people.

Love <3

Aren't they the cutest?
Okay, well I'm off to eat my bean and cheese burritos and go play zombies! If you're on Playstation Network and play, let me know (:

Thanksgiving 2013

Hey there. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving this year. I sure did. We had dinner with my parents early due to my brother working on Thanksgiving and had dinner with Nates family on Thursday out at one of their ranches. I sure do love it at all of the ranches!

I'm including a few photos we took there.
This year I'm thankful for all of the wonderful people I have in my life, especially Nathen :]. I'm thankful for having cuddly animals and warm blankets to snuggle in. A roof over my head, an awesome job, vacstion time, and good friends. I'm especially thankful for all the opportunities we are given such as buying a house within the next year, and everything I have been through whether good or bad, because it all has taught me things. I hope everyone had a good day and got to spend it with family!

The first photo is one that I took, and a friend/coworker across the states edited, Wess Martin. He has some awesome editing techniques and love this photo so much more!

The others are Nate and I and then his sister and I and a pretty horse :)

Also, here is a photo I took on Thanksgiving this photo is of Nates Aunt & Uncle and their litttle boy Dakota. He is the cutest little boy ever.

I love this.

Oh hello,
So I live in this "wonderful" state Nevada right? And I must admit it is beautiful, at times, but I totally miss my Washington trees and ocean. But, I love how you can see for miles living out here and when it snows, it gets even more beautiful! A few weeks ago it snowed like an inch, and then melted right away. This morning we actually had a few inches but again it melted throughout the day :(. We are suppose to be getting more though this weekend and I'm really hoping it sticks around, and if it doesn't at least stay this time I really hope it snows soon because I really want to take some wonderful fall pictures! Anyways, it's Friday and I couldn't be more happy about that. I think I'll
be posting some recent photos I've taken of my friend Hanna, my friend Mariah, and my brother and to be sister in law.
Oh, here's a photo of Lamoille Canyon, it's so beautiful and I love enjoying it.

PINTERESTING...

Is anyone obsessed with the show Sons Of Anarchy like Nathen and I are? Last night was so intense, and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for next week. Well anyways...

I came into work early today since the boss is on a trip. Well I'm all done with my work already so what do you suspect I did/am doing? P I N T E R E S T!!

I love this site so much it's crazy, I seriously have almost 9000 pins! I'm hoping when we get our house that I will organize a bit better and can print a lot of the recipes and what not to slim it down a bit.

As I'm searching today I find a pin for "75+ Gift Ideas under $5". GASP. This is right up my ally. So I check it out and behold a gift idea I'd like to do for family this year. And it's cheap. And it's cute. What's better?

It actually directed me to this awesome blog that I'm so loving now, it's:
Shanty2Chic
And here's the idea that I'm thinking I want to try,
iPad Display-DIY
I think I'll take it an extra step further and add a clip to the top for those recipes from Grandma that are written down! I'm so loving it and think I'll make one for myself plus one as my Bunco gift exchange gift for our meeting for December.
What do ya'll think of it? Are you loving it as much as I am?
Of course if I do I'll snap some photos and post about it. Hope all those links up there work for ya, let me know if they don't!
I'm back to Pinteresting, have a great day!

It's Been Forever...

Well, it's been a while since I've posted because I've gotten out of it. But I'd really like to post some more about things going on and I'd like to jump on the blog train and hopefully have a few followers. I think I am going to do a whole new look and completely start over. So keep your eyes out.
